If there is one community in Northern Ireland then it is in two halves. Both of them are brought up to hate each other. Are Christians in Great Britain any different from those in Northern Ireland?
Well that will depend on the magnanimity of church leaders on both sides. At first hand I can vouch for some that can talk the talk, but with some it goes no further. At the start of the Parish Eucharist we all pledge to be supportive of each other. Yet there is precious little compassion for one another.
Are church leaders humble enough? Do they cringe at the thought of humility, or are they flushed with anger at totally imagened slights?
